Guitar Sessions

I'm a guitarist with 24 years of playing experience and a bachelor's degree in jazz guitar from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. I record electric, acoustic, and nylon-string guitar, as well as bass and ukulele, for artists, producers, and songwriters working both locally and remotely.

My Approach

For me, a guitar part should serve the song rather than compete with it. I focus on understanding the character, dynamics, and emotional direction of the music before deciding what to play.

Depending on the project, this might mean creating a melodic lead part, building atmosphere and texture, supporting the rhythm, or keeping the arrangement simple and restrained. My aim is always to find the part, sound, and performance that feel natural within the production.

Experience

Over the years, I have recorded and performed across rock, pop, folk, funk, and jazz. My live experience includes performances in Germany with the folk ensemble Tarshish, as well as work with a range of bands and artists in different musical settings.

I have contributed guitar parts to several albums and projects, including the 2020 album by Maybe Raincoat, where I also took part in the composition, and my solo album עיר כוכב (Star City).

My background as a producer and songwriter allows me to understand the wider arrangement rather than focusing only on the guitar. I learn material quickly, have a strong musical ear, and can adapt my playing and sound to different artists, styles, and production needs.

Recording

I record from my studio near Warschauer Straße in Berlin, with access to electric, acoustic, and nylon-string guitars, bass, amplifiers, microphones, effects, and professional recording equipment.

Sessions can take place in person, remotely, live in the studio, or through re-amping. I can work from written parts, demos, chord charts, references, or develop the guitar arrangement together with the artist or producer.
